Explore More and Leave No Trace

About our commitment.

What a year it’s been for Explorest! Thousands of people are using the app to discover new places and adventure into the unknown; it’s been a dream come true for our team. While we’re thrilled to inspire people to visit these locations, we also know it’s our duty to ensure people experience them with care — and that takes real work and dedication.

We’re proud to announce our commitment to helping others Explore More and to travel with consideration for the people who call these places home and the people who will visit in the future. Through our ongoing initiatives we will continue to facilitate discussion about the environment and create opportunities for our member community to take action and get involved!

We're a Nature Conservatory conservation champion and have partnered with Leave No Trace, a non-profit organization, to teach and inspire our community to enjoy our world responsibly. We host clean-up opportunities for places in need and strive to keep untouched environments as pristine as we found them. Each contributing photographer on Explorest works closely with our team to ensure we don’t list any locations sensitive to human impact or deemed too secretive or unique.

Please join our conversation and help us protect and preserve the magical places that make photography, hiking, camping, and adventuring so special. The more people that visit and experience these places, the more people that can fight for the cause!

Volunteer, send us feedback, provide solutions, spread ideas — most importantly, get involved! We are here for our community and aim to see it grow and thrive while protecting the places that wow us all. Send us your thoughts: environment@explorest.com

Sincerely,

The Team @ Explorest

Leave No Traces 7-principles, please abide by them:

Our first official clean-up event was on September 15th, 2018. Our team of volunteers spent the day with LoveDolores to bring awareness to cigarette butt litter at the park.
