The featured image was taken from Chimes Tower Road on Catalina Island, near Avalon Casino Scenic Overlook. You can walk or drive to the GPS coordinate. When I got to the area I walked towards the end of the white fence and went in front of the cacti. The most common way to get to Catalina Island is by ferry. There is a port in Long Beach that departs at 6AM and departs from Avalon at 7:30PM. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by golf cart but they are only available for 2 hour rentals from 9AM to 5PM. Consider this when planning your trip.
