When to go
To capture the Marin Headlands house with bright green grass around it, I recommend visiting during spring, though all months of the year should have green hues. This place is also a great sunset spot throughout the year as long as there's no fog. The foggiest season is usually winter, so there isn't much morning light then. Make sure to check the weather beforehand.
Sunrise on a clear morning is an ideal time to visit so you can see the mountains in the background. During sunrise, the sunlight will illuminate the mountains, the sea, and the grass which will look like they are all in harmony.
Field tips
Be respectful of the residents living in the area.
For your own safety, take your valuables with you instead of leaving them in the car.
A mid-ranged normal lens (55mm) will allow you to frame the details of the house while also including the mountain line and Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
By framing the fences in the photo you can create a sense of privacy in your shot. To further enhance this feeling, I also included the two trees on the sides, framing the house.
