Harmonious Tower (Thermometer Tower), Power Station of Art 上海当代艺术博物馆

I took this photo in the Harmonious Tower (Thermometer Tower) at the Power Station of Art (PSA). Purchase a ticket and go to the second floor. From the escalator, make a right and walk towards the 'Shop', then make a left towards 'Thermometer' tower and cross the bridge to the location. By Metro: - Closest Station: South Xizang Road Station (Line 4 and 8) - Take Exit 2 - Walk straight to Nan Chezhan Road and turn right, and continue to Huayuangang Road (approximately 15 minutes). - Alternatively exit the station and walk straight to the "South Zhongshan Road / South Xizang Road" bus station and take Bus 1212. This indoor location can be enjoyed all year long!

Visit during its opening hours (11am-7pm). Get there early or at the end of the day to avoid the crowds.

I recommend using the wide-lens to capture the tower's magnitude.

Using a tripod is essential to help with the area's low light.

During your exposure, be careful with your footing as the floor is a bit shaky. Don't move once you click the shutter and make sure that there are no other people around you either. Protect the camera from shaking until your shutter finishes.

Photographing a model adds a sense of scale to your image.

The bottom light is part of the experience and changes colors as music plays around you. Be patient and capture the right moment!
