The featured image was taken at the Lujiazui Bus Station. You'll find it at the intersection of Lujiazui East and Yincheng Middle Road.
Upon arrival the bus station, find the 'no traffic' white lines on the ground. You can walk into that area safely and set up your tripod. I faced southeast to frame the epic skyscrapers.
By Metro:
- Closest Station: Lujiazui (Line 2)
- Take Exit 5
- Turn left on Lujiazui East Road
- The destination will be on your left (next to Lujiazui Central Green)

Night
All months of the year are great to photograph from the Lujiazui Bus Station.
Visit at night to capture the light trails of the passing buses, as well as the illuminated skyscrapers in the background.
Field tips
By using a wide-angle lens (16mm), you'll be able to capture the motion of the bus, a model and the towering buildings in the background.
The frequency of the buses are sort of random, so be patient while waiting for them to pass through. It could take up to 30 minutes to get the right shot.
You'll need a tripod and a long shutter speed for a blur-free exposure of the light trails.
Have your model stand still if you want a crisp shot.

Do nearby
There are many authentic Chinese restaurants nearby, but if you'd like to try something unexpected, there's a Taco Bell along Shiji Dadao Road. It's just a two-minute walk from the metro! (1/F, 55 Shiji Dadao Road, Shanghai)
