Although London has many amazing rooftops, there really isn't anything like this terrace view! Get a close look at the area's architecture, as well as one of the most well-known skyscrapers in the background.

The image was taken on the second terrace of the Coq D'Argent restaurant roof facing south toward The Shard. To get to the roof terrace, you'll need to walk along Poultry St and look for the Bucklersbury Passage which will be on the left hand side going underneath the building. Here, you'll find two small lifts that will take you up to the terrace. When you get to the top of the restaurant, you can speak to a member of staff who will show you the gate to get on to the second roof terrace. Sometimes the gate can be locked, so they can access it for you. By London Underground: - Closest station: Bank (via Central, Northern and Waterloo & City) - Walk west on Mansion House St until it turns into Poultry and head into the Bucklersbury Passage

Tips

The restaurant terrace will close in the winter, so make sure the terrace is open before visiting.

Field tips

There are three different levels to the terrace. Ask the restaurant staff to guide you to the bottom level so you can get this view, but you can also get really amazing views from any three of the terraces.
Try angling yourself with The Shard building directly in front of you. As one of London's most famous buildings, it's a great focal point to have in the distance.
You could also try incorporating some of the garden views from the terrace. This will add a new distinct another element to your shot to compliment the architecture.
