The tile-lined walls and gridded floors of of this long pedestrian tunnel in London's underground system provide an attractive symmetry that gives the illusion of a never-ending passageway.

The featured image was taken inside a London Underground tunnel at the Embankment Station.
You can access the Embankment Station via the Circle, District, Bakerloo and Northern Lines. The entrance to the tunnel can be found near the northbound platform of the Northern Line. Once you're at the platform, look toward the exit escalators and the tunnel will be to your left.

All months of the year are suitable to photograph this underground tunnel in the Embankment Station.
Since it's an underground tunnel, the lighting conditions remain consistent any time of the day or night. I suggest coming here late at night on a weekday or early in the morning on a weekend so you have the best chance of getting a shot without people in your frame.
Field tips
Tripods and commercial photography are both not allowed on the underground, so please follow regulations.
I recommend using a wide-angle lens (14mm) to get the most of the corridor in your shot.
Stand in the middle of the tunnel to maintain a perfectly symmetrical photo.

I recommend checking out Gordons Wine Bar just up the road from the Embankment station. It's the oldest wine bar in London and is set in candle-lit, vaulted cellars.
