Although it's one of the city's most well-known bridges (look closely to see the Palace of Westminster in the background!), this location is barely recognizable with the eerie London fog creeping in from the River Thames.

The image was taken from the middle of bridge on the north side, facing southwest toward the Houses of Parliament.
By London Underground:
- Closest station: Westminster Station (via Circle, Jubilee or District lines)
- Exit onto Westminster Bridge Road
- Turn left
- Continue walking until you get to the crossing
- Cross the road and walk towards the bridge (remaining on the left hand side)
Tips
When to go
Best season
All months
Best time
Morning, Mid-day
The winter months are the bring fog most frequently, but you can photograph the fog any month of year.
Visit this place in the morning for higher chances of fog. I went to visit midday and was lucky to experience fog, but it normally happens in the morning! By the late afternoon, the fog will have disappeared.
Field tips
Try standing on the other side of the bridge along the sidewalk and shoot on a slight angle. This perspective will give your photo a bit of an edge and make it more interesting than a photo that is shot straight on.
Be patient and wait until there are no passing cars. The bridge is very busy, so this may take a while, but it's worth it!
I recommend bringing along some friends as models, but this place is also busy enough where you can have built-in models even if you're photographing by yourself.
