Once you're on the hill, you'll see this northeast perspective. It's not a very obvious spot, so make sure to reference the GPS coordinates when you get there.

Other than in the winter months, you'll be able to capture a view with greenery around Staithes and Staithes Beck.

Morning, midday and late afternoon on an overcast day is ideal at this location. Having the clouds in your shot will also add a moody element to the image.

I wanted the flowers to frame my image, but I also wanted them to add a pop of color to the shot. Since the town isn't very vibrant, the lively yellow plants brightened the scene.

A higher perspective will give you the ability to capture the majority of the town. The higher you get, the more you'll be able to fit in the frame.

Alternatively, you can also walk around the rest of the village and see what other perspectives you can create. This quaint town has a lot to offer!

Make sure to spend some time discovering the village where Captain Cook worked as a grocer's apprentice and took an immediate interest in the sea.
