I took the photo standing at one end of the Konstanzer Strasse subway station platform in the district of Berlin-Wilmersdorf. The station is relatively small — even though the U7 is the longest subway line in the city — and you can enter off of Brandenburgische Str.
Once you're in the station, walk toward the U7 line and you'll see the platform with the trains passing by. Trains run every 3-5 minutes from both sides of the platform, so you can easily take photos of the characteristic yellow wagons there or hop on the train to continue your journey.

You can visit the interior of the Konstanzer Strasse Station year round.
As long as it's open, you'll get the same conditions at the station. Please note that there will be more people during rush hour, although this station isn't the most frequented.
Field tips
If you're standing on the platform, you won't have to pay for a ticket. They'll only check your ticket once you're on the train.
Take several perspectives of the train. Try photographing from the front of the platform or take a photo while the train is in motion as it passes by you. The nice thing about this station is that you'll always have the retro-orange background to work with.
I recommend using the train as a blurred background for a great portrait shot. Use a slow shutter speed and situate your subject in front of the moving train.

Do nearby
I suggest exploring the other U7 stations along this line, both north or south will provide fun pop-art inspired architecture photography.
This station is also close to the Kurfürstendamm — a legendary shopping street. It's lined with retail shops, restaurants and hotels that will surely entertain you throughout the day.
