Paragon Linkbridge to Cairnhill

This Linkbridge connects Paragon Shopping Mall to Cairnhill. The easiest way to access the Linkbridge is to take the outside escalator behind the Masjid Ah-Falah mosque on Bideford St, which is across from an entrance to the Paragon Shopping Mall. If you are already in Paragon, the Linkbridge is on Level 3. I took this photograph on the west end of the bridge in front of the Paragon entrance. All months of the year are suitable to photograph the interior of the Linkbridge.

The shadows created by the linkbridge’s architecture tend to be most pronounced before 3pm, so try visiting around mid-day! Depending on the time you visit, the shadows may look completely different, or even gone altogether!

Try using a wide-angle lens (18mm) to maximize your capture of the interior and make full use of the bridge.

Depending on the mood of your shot, your model may want to wear bright colors to stand out from the dark toned architecture.

Have fun with shadow play! There’s so many perspectives you can create. The shadows shift by the minute, so be patient and stay a while.
