Stand under Esplanade Bridge for a different perspective. As its symmetrical arches rise high above you, you will see how they lead the eye toward the sky and the Singapore cityscape. This 850-foot bridge will make you feel pretty small.

This location is under the Esplanade Bridge. If you’re coming from the Esplanade Theaters, walk on the path on the perimeter of the Marina Bay towards the Esplanade Bridge. Once you’re under the bridge, you’re at the location!
There is enough room for the model to walk or even jump up onto the ledge, nonetheless do be careful.
By MRT:
- Closest MRT Station: City Hall Interchange (East West Line and North South Line)
- Take exit “C”
- Head southeast on Stamford Rd toward St Andrew's Rd
- Turn right onto Esplanade Dr
- Turn left onto a path and walk down under the Esplanade Bridge
Tips
When to go
Best season
All months
Best time
Mid-day, Sunset
All months of the year are suitable to photograph under the Esplanade Bridge.
If you visit at sunset you’re most likely to catch a nice gradient in the sky and there won’t be any shadows that distort the symmetry of the bridge. Visiting in the evening may also bring dramatic skies. I suggest visiting on the weekdays when there are less tourists.
Field tips
I placed my model right in the center of the bridge to split the shot in half and add to the symmetry. Get creative in your composition!
If you really want to emphasize the magnitude of the bridge, try using a wide-angle lens and shooting in portrait orientation.
Be patient and wait for the right dramatic sky to move into the frame!
