Sagrada Familia & Barcelona Look Down

avatar
@asteryx
Rising skywards in Barcelona's heart is the Sagrada Familia, an architectural marvel that feels like it's been lifted straight from the pages of a magical realist novel. Master architect Antoni Gaudí's magnum opus, the Sagrada Familia, stands as an ode to his love for nature and the divine. Much like the Hogwarts castle in J.K. Rowling's wizarding world, it's a structure that defies reality, inspiring awe and wonder. (before flying a drone, check and follow local drone regulations and permit requirements.)

This photograph of Sagrada Familia and Barcelona was taken by drone. I stood at the intersection of C. de Cartagena and C/ de Sant Antoni Maria Claret, right in the city center of Barcelona. It is just a few blocks down from the Sagrada Familia, the tall basilica landmark you see in my image. If you're starting from Plaça de Catalunya, the heart of Barcelona, the journey to the Sagrada Familia is a breeze. Board the L2 Metro line (direction Badalona Pompeu Fabra) from Passeig de Gràcia station. In less than ten minutes, alight at the Sagrada Familia Metro station. The station is a mere two-minute walk from the basilica, and as you step onto the street, the Sagrada Familia unfolds before you like a grand cinematic reveal, its intricate spires reaching for the sky.
