Resembling a Lord of the Rings setting, this bridge and river are complemented by a vine-covered cottage in the background.

How to get there

Driving is the most ideal option to get to this location, but you can also take the Llanrwst train. Depending on where you're coming from, you'll have a different route. Park in the Gwydyr Park Car Park and then follow the GPS to get to the exact spot where I stood to take the photo — it's easy to find!

Tips

When to go

Best season

January, February, December

Best time

Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon
This photo was taken during the winter months when the foliage was less vibrant. It can get quite dry when you're there during colder months. Autumn would be lovely with all of the foliage and summer will be very green and lush as well.
As long as it's light out, you'll find similar lighting conditions.

Field tips

Try incorporating the the bridge and the house at the end of the picture to add varying elements to your image.
This town isn't busy, but I suggest avoiding having any cars in your shot. It will take away some of the old-fashioned charm if a car is featured.
Try photographing from the bridge and onto the village for a different perspective.

Explore the rest of the town and enjoy the stone architecture.
