This view is located along the pedestrian walkway on the W 5th St overpass — the GPS coordinates will plant you at the exact point where I stood to capture the featured shot.
There are no parking spots on the overpass itself, but there are plenty of areas to park along S Beaudry Ave, which is perpendicular to W 5th St.

Night
All months are suitable to photograph the Interstate 110.
Visiting at nighttime offers the opportunity to create heavy light trails along I-110.
Field tips
I used a wide-angle 14-24mm lens at 20mm, which gave me a sprawling view of the entire highway, including the surrounding on-ramps and buildings.
You'll need to use a tripod to achieve the featured long exposure light trails. I took a 15 second exposure to ensure each lane had sufficient light trail coverage.
Experiment with different focal lengths and compositions along the overpass.
