Shanghai World Expo Museum Window & Staircase

This image was taken at the World Expo Museum in the Huangpu District. It's easily accessible by the subway. No entrance fee is needed, but a ticket is required. You can either reserve your ticket through the online booking system or pick up the tickets on site after 10am. Once you walk through the entrance of the museum, you'll find an exterior staircase on your left that will lead you to the 2nd floor. From there, you'll see this view. You can photograph this architectural gem any month of year, but if you want to capture the bushes at their most vibrant color, I suggest visiting from April to August.

Visit anytime from morning to late afternoon for good lighting conditions.

By using a wide-angle lens (16mm) you'll be able to frame the majority of the scene.

Try waiting until the frame only has one subject in it — like I did — or you can take your photo when there are many people walking around. It's a busy location, so you'll have the option to try both!

This landmark is also great for a drone shot. Experiment with different perspectives, like a classic look-down view.

This museum has quickly become one of Shanghai's most visited. It's the country's first international museum, so make sure to check it out!
