Soho Fuxing Square Lift Lobby Corridor

This image is of a lift lobby in the center of Soho Fuxing Complex. You can access this location from many directions: either directly through the underground mall or from the main entrance. Once inside the plaza, find the corridor that provides access to the elevators of the building. The hallways can be different on each floor: the first floor is more wide and the other floors are more narrow. I took my shot on a narrow floor. Since you're photographing the interior of the complex, any month of year is great to visit Soho Fuxing Square.

Since it's artificially lit, feel free to visit this bright white space anytime during the plaza's opening hours.

By using a wide-angle lens (16mm) you're more likely to get the reflections on the sides, as well as the floor and ceiling.

If you want to capture your subject jumping in the middle like I did, make sure to set your shutter to at least 400 to capture the movement.

Setting up your tripod in the position that can obtain a perfect symmetry is important, so be patient and experiment!

The ground level hallway is widest, so definitely check out the other floors, which are more narrow. They'll give you a different perspective!

The upscale, car-free district of Xintiandi has so much to do! Walk around and shop or grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants.
