Wrest Park Library Room

This image was taken inside the library room at the mansion of Wrest Park. The easiest way to get this location is by car. If you're driving, you can park in the lot next to Wrest Park (52.008119, -0.415516). Once you're inside Wrest Park, follow the signs toward the library room. Since there isn't any landscape in this shot, you can photograph the library at Wrest Park during any month.

In the morning, midday and late afternoon, you'll be able to find similar lighting conditions. On a sunny day, you'll find more light coming through the windows (like I have in my photo).

It appears quite large, but the room is actually smaller than it seems. To emphasize the space, I recommend shooting with a wide-angle lens.

The chandeliers in the room can be used as a way to make sure you're symmetrically positioned. Find them and then align yourself so they're directly above and in front of you.

Breathe some life into your image and incorporate a model. This will also add a sense of scale to the shot, too.

Pay attention to how the shadows and light cross the room and frame your composition accordingly.

You can easily spend a day in the restored gardens admiring the beautiful landscape and sculptures.
