Like a home away from home, this 6-bedroom, 17th-century boutique inn is known for its cozy interior. Enjoy a drink at the bar or wake up early and start your day with one of their homemade scones. From the exterior, you can admire the black and white stripe panels that add a sense of small-town character to the stone architecture.

This image was taken on the west side of High Street, looking onto Burford House. The best way to reach this location is to drive — either by your own car or renting a car. There are a ton of places to park in the area, but I recommend parking in the Burford Car Park (51.808640, -1.633057) and then walking to the inn.

Tips
When to go
Best season
May, June, July, August, September
Best time
Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon
I took this photo of Burford House in August. If you want a similar scene, with the plants outside and the window boxes in bloom, then I recommend visiting in the summer.
There isn't a lot of sky in this shot, but you'll still want to shoot during the day so that it's light outside.
Field tips
A wider lens will allow you to photograph the majority of the building's façade. I shot at 40mm.
Part of the charm of High Street is that it's at a slight angle, so make sure that you're standing far enough back on the sidewalk to capture the slant.
If you want to add a more dynamic aspect to this shot, try including a person walking by on the street (like I did in my image). It also helps if the model is wearing a color that complements the scene. In this case, my model was wearing green, which blended nicely with the plants.
