This image was taken inside the Adams Place Bridge in Canary Wharf. I stood in the middle of the bridge, equidistant from the entrance/exit on Canary Wharf and the entrance/exit from North Colonnade.
I was facing south, but you can shoot from both sides for multiple lighting options.
By London Underground:
- Closest station: Canary Wharf (via Jubilee)
- Head north toward S Colonnade
- Turn left onto S Colonnade
- Turn right toward N Colonnade
- Head east toward N Colonnade
- Turn right onto N Colonnade
- Turn left onto Adams Pl Bridge

Since Adams Place Bridge is an interior bridge, you can visit during any month.
For a moodier image with less people, I recommend visiting here at night.
Field tips
The featured image shows the light from above appearing to pass through the model. To achieve this effect, place a prism on the bottom of the lens so you can reflect light above and onto the model.
Keep a nice balance in the photo by centering your model to create a sense of symmetry.
Experiment with different poses and have your model stand closer or further away to find your own composition.

Across Adams Place Bridge is the Crossrail Place Roof Garden. It's an indoor garden space that features plants and trees from all over the world — with an abundance of plants that are native to the countries that have passed through Canary Wharf by boat throughout the years.
