How to get there

N51° 30' 28.7676"W0° 04' 46.4736"
I took this photo on the terrace of Coppa Club Tower Bridge looking onto the London skyline with a view of The Shard. To get there, enter the restaurant via the roof terrace and then have the staff guide you to the igloos. Look across the River Thames and you'll see The Shard in the distance for a similar perspective. By London Underground: - Closest station: Tower Hill Station (Circle or District lines) - Head south past the Tower Hill Memorial toward Toward Hill - After you cross Tower Hill/Byward Street, continue going south along Petty Wales and Three Quays Walk - The destination will be on your right Address: Coppa Club Tower Bridge, 3 Three Quays Walk, Lower Thames St, London EC3R 6AH, United Kingdom

Tips

When to go

Best season

January, February, November, December

Best time

Morning
You can visit the Coppa Club Tower Bridge during any month of the year, but in order to incorporate the Igloos in your shot, I recommend checking their Instagram (www.instagram.com/coppaclub) for the current terrace theme. I shot this in December and if you want to capture the bare leaves (like I have in my shot), then you'll need to photograph this location in the winter.
Try to visit in the morning, just before they open, to shoot the Igloos without anyone dining in them.

Field tips

I suggest photographing the igloos from an angle to add more depth to your photo.
Stand a bit back so you can feature the leaves in the frame. They'll create dimension and texture and will also add to the seasonality of the photo.
The igloos are situated next to the River Thames and they have two unique backdrops: one with Tower Bridge and another with The Shard — make sure you snap both views to capture two landmarks in one location.

Do nearby

Book in advance and reserve a table inside one of the igloos. It's truly a unique dining experience to indulge in if you can.
To the west of Coppa Club is the Saint Dunstand in the East Church Garden. This hidden church garden is one of the most underrated in the city and definitely one of the best kept secrets! It's gorgeous all year round, but especially in autumn when the foliage changes.
