Glasshouse St view of Leicester Arms & Cherry Blossoms

I stood in the middle of Glasshouse Street near Prezzo restaurant, facing west toward Leicester Arms to get this image. By London Underground: - Closest station: Piccadilly Circus (via Bakerloo or Piccadilly line) - Head west on Coventry St/A4 toward Shaftesbury Ave/A401 - Continue onto Piccadilly Circus/A4201 - Turn right onto Glasshouse St

Most of the cherry trees along Glasshouse Street are in bloom during the month of April, although this can vary every year depending on how cold or warm the winter is.

You can find similar lighting conditions any time of day, but I took the photo just before sunset during golden hour. On a sunny day, late-afternoon is when the lighting is the best.

Be patient! The area can get quite busy and you might have to wait for the cars and people to pass by before getting the shot and composition right.

Make sure to watch out for cars when you're in the street. As I said, this area can be quite busy and you'll need to be aware of your surroundings.

Align yourself with the corner of the Leicester Arms pub. It will create a sense of symmetry in the photo.

The Soho area is great for both photography and going out. With its various coffee shops, bars, restaurants and pubs, everyone will find somewhere to hang out.
