Street-Level Walkup to Tower Bridge

The image was taken from the street-level staircase that leads up to Tower Bridge, which is located on the north side of the bridge. I stood facing looking up at the bridge from the bottom of the staircase. You can access the staircase from the bridge itself or by the lower street through St Katharine's Way. By London Underground: - Closest Station: Tower Hill (via Circle or District line) - Head south passing through Tower Hill and The Pavillon at The Tower of London until you reach A100 - Continue heading south and then make your way up the stairs underneath Tower Bridge

You may have a foggy morning any month of year, but January and February mornings tend to be the most foggy.

To capture the thick fog and a scene without any other pedestrians in it, I recommend visiting in the early morning. This area is very busy during morning and evening rush hour. Late night can be calmer.

The staircase is easy to find and safe at night, but as in any big city, please be aware of your surroundings.

Try to frame the second tower with the arch for a nicely composed image.

Including a model in the shot will give a greater sense of scale to the massive bridge. My subject contrasted nicely in front of the second tower in the distance.

Located in central London, there are tons of pubs and restaurant around Tower Bridge.

From this spot (North Bank), you can also jump on a boat to discover London from the River Thames.
