When to go
Best season
All months
Best time
Sunrise, Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon, Sunset, Blue Hour, Night, Midnight+
The station is illuminated and open year round.
Although you can capture a similar scene during any time of the day, I prefer the nighttime when there aren't as many commuters.
Field tips
Tripods and flash photography are both not allowed in the station. Make sure you only bring your camera and when you take the photo, turn the flash off.
A wide-angle lens (11mm) will allow you to capture the station without it being too narrow.
The yellow station can be a bit overwhelming in terms of color. To balance out the bright hue, I suggest bringing along a model who's dressed in darker clothing so that they contrast with the scene.

Make sure to check The Karl-Marx-Allee, which is a boulevard named after the famous socialist philosopher, Karl Marx, that was built by the GDR between 1952 and 1960 in Berlin. Surrounding the boulevard is one of Berlin's most beautiful neighborhoods, so spend some time strolling around the area after seeing the street.
