Gosausee view of Dachstein

This image was taken along the shore of Gosausee lake, with a view of the Dachstein peaks. The best way to get to this location is by car. First, arrive to the town of Gosau and then park in the Gosausee Parking lot (47.533729, 13.495871). Then, head south along the path and reference the GPS coordinates to get to the spot where I took my photo. Whoever is taking the photo should stay at the GPS coordinates on the path and the model should continue walking south off of the path until they are in the same location as the model in the photo.

As you can see in my photo, the trees surrounding Gosausee are sprinkled with colors of autumn. The foliage will be the most present in late September and October.

The best time of the day to capture soft lighting conditions will be at sunrise.

A normal lens will allow you to incorporate the lake and mountains without losing the detail of the scene.

In my opinion, the most photogenic way to get this shot is from a more elevated perspective, which is why I stood on the path and then had my model head down to the shore.

Having someone in your photo will add a sense of scale to the image.

I also recommend having the model wear a bright color so they stand out against the landscape.
