avatar
@benskaar
The Road to Hana is an essential experience for any traveler visiting the island of Maui. With over 620 curves and 59 bridges, you're greeted with glorious views at every twist and turn. Getting your drone up into the air is a great way to capture the bends in the road from above as they fully encapsulate the incredible journey that the drive brings. (before flying a drone, check and follow local drone regulations and permit requirements)

This drone look down was taken above the Road to Hana at Honomanū Bay. Unless you're staying in Hana, it's easiest to drive down the road from west to east. This stop will mark about 1/3rd of your drive to the east side of the island. When capturing this photo with the drone, find a safe place to pull over on the side of the road near the location of the given coordinates. You'll also want to make sure that both the place you park, and where you're standing, are visible to oncoming traffic. From there, launch the drone and photograph away!
