I think that the best time to go here is during sunset when the light will ricochet off the side of the Rosewood building, while it also casts shadows onto the surrounding street of Percival. With the hotel illuminated in the distance, this street view could be photogenic at night time, too, but you'd need to have a tripod.

Be careful of trams and traffic since you'll need to stand in the middle of the street for this shot.

Bring along a long zoom (I shot this at 174mm), which will help with the compression effect.

Try to line up the building in the middle of the frame and use the surrounding walls and sign board to help you frame the hotel.

I also recommend waiting for a tram to enter the bottom part of the frame to add some local Hong Kong character to the image.

Causeway Bay is the shopping hub of Hong Kong. There's a lot to see, eat and drink there, too.
