As the sun begins to dip into the night sky, it's the perfect time to capture one of Hong Kong's most modern high-rise hotels. The towering structure is located within the landmark of Victoria Dockside arts, culture and design district and it sits photogenically along the waters of Kowloon Harbour.

This drone image of the Rosewood Hotel and Kowloon Harbour was taken from The Garden of Stars park, which is east of the hotel. Once I launched my drone, I flew south to get this west-facing perspective.
By public transportation:
- Closest subway station: East Tsim Sha Tsui Station (via West Rail Line)
- Take Exit K
- Head north through Signal Hill Garden
- Cross over Chatham Rd S

The best time is definitely during sunset when the sun will set behind Hong Kong Island, making for an amazing background for this drone shot.
The hotel also looks great when it's lit up at night, so if you can, stay into the night.

Before flying a drone, check and follow local drone regulations and permit requirements.
To protect your drone and the safety of others, I strongly suggest you avoid flying on windy days as the site is close to the harbour and is prone to higher wind speeds than if it were inland.
If you want to avoid unwanted attention, you're best to avoid flying if the area is busy with people around.
I flew my drone up high so I was looking down on the hotel. I also tried to line up the skyline evenly behind it in order to create a sense of symmetry.
