Jimmy at The James Rooftop Bar view of Manhattan Skyline

This area is unique in that it's all about sights, sounds and ambiance. I always make it a point to visit this rare, jaw-dropping location at least once a month so I can take in the sights and capture the city skyline aglow.

The image was taken on the 18th floor of the outdoor terrace at the Jimmy Rooftop Bar inside The James Hotel in Soho. Once you're in the lobby of the hotel, take the elevator that leads to the rooftop and then make your way onto the roof deck to enjoy this view. There is a separate entrance during night bar hours and for that, make a reservation and of course be 21 and up. Please note that this roof deck has limited space and can fill up quickly. Call beforehand to make sure there isn't a wait or be prepared to wait in a line — especially on the weekends. By Subway: - Closest Station: Canal St Station (1 or 2 train) - Turn right on Canal Street - Turn left on 6th Avenue - Turn right on Thompson Street Address: Jimmy Rooftop Bar, 15 Thompson Street New York, NY 10013
