Tips

When to go

Best season

April, May, June, July, August, September, October

Best time

Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon
To get the lush greenery, visit during the spring and summer seasons. The summers can be more crowded, so plan your trip accordingly. To capture the vibrant foliage, visit in the fall months. The trail is often closed in the winter time.
Daytime light illuminates the walkway, so visit anytime after sunrise and before sunset.

Field tips

The rocks along the trail can be wet and slippery so make sure to wear sturdy shoes with good traction.
A wide-angle lens (19mm) allows you to frame the expansiveness of the trail.
I preferred focusing on the beauty of nature versus a subject in my frame. That said, photographing a model will put the grand area into perspective.
