Keppel Island view of Reflections at Keppel Bay

Have a soft spot for architecture? This location is one of Singapore's many architectural feats. As night falls, the light beacons and the structure will look like 5 blades from a dystopian city. It is even more aesthetically appealing with the reflections in the water.

The featured image is of the Reflections at Keppel Bay residential complex. I took it from the end of Keppel Bay Vista which is on Keppel Island. Keppel Island is a private island and should be visited by only those who have access. Reference Maps satellite view for the exact spot I stood. By MRT: - Closest MRT Station: Harbourfront (North East Line and Circle Line) - Take exit “B” - Head southeast toward Telok Blangah Rd (just under the West Coast Highway) - Walk along the Telok Blangah Rd until the overhead bridge. - Take the overhead bridge. - Turn right onto Telok Blangah Rd again you will see a bus stop at the foot of the bridge. - Continue walking until Keppel Bay Drive. - Turn left into Keppel Bay Drive. - Continue onto Keppel Bay Vista (you will see private owned yachts on your right). - Continue to the end, view is on your right.

Field tips

Keppel Island is a private island and should be visited by those who have access. Be respectful while shooting and leave if security guards ask you to. Think about your composition before setting up your tripod.
Check the weather before visiting. It’s likely a considerable distance from where you are; you wouldn't want the weather to mess you up!
Use a wide angle-lens to incorporate both the building and its reflections all in one frame. A 16-35mm or the crop equivalent (10-18mm) would be ideal.
