Queen Elizabeth Walk Steps

This location is a set of steps on the Queen Elizabeth Walk. The steps are on the perimeter of the Esplanade Park by the Marina Bay. If you’re coming from the Esplanade theaters, walk on the path under the Esplanade Bridge and you’ll see the steps on your left! By MRT: - Closest MRT Station: City Hall Interchange (East West Line and North South Line) - Take exit “C” - Head southeast on Stamford Rd toward St Andrew's Rd - Turn right onto Esplanade Dr - Turn right onto a path and walk towards the steps

All months of the year are suitable to photograph these steps.

Mid-day during the week this location will have less people and the lighting will be optimal to bring out the details of each step corner.

I stood above the platform on the walkway to get height and shoot downwards.

I chose to focus my composition on the steps and cropped out the cityscape in the background, but get creative and try to find your own way!

I purposely placed my model so they didn’t blend or overlap with the water (or any other dark color objects). Keep this in mind when you’re composing with a subject.
