Treetop Walk Bridge view of Cloud Forest

This location is in the Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay. Upon entering, follow the path till you reach the lifts and go up to Lost World which is the top floor. Walk through the end of Cloud Walk and take the escalators down two to Treetop Walk. After the first bend on Treetop Walk, face left and you will see this view. All months are suitable to photograph within the Cloud Forest. Although some months are busier than others, it’s great since having people in your frame bring the scene to life!

Visit during mid-day when the sun is at its highest. The sunlight will cast shadows of the dome onto the floor which create the patterned lines you see on the ground level of this image.

By using a wide-angle lens (11mm) you’ll be able to maximize the capture of the Cloud Forest.

I centered my photograph by using the path on the ground level. This spot also nicely captures the leading lines of the ceiling. Try walking around and experimenting with different focal lengths to find your perfect composition.

To maintain sharp focus of the foliage and architecture, try using a small aperture.
