This image was taken from level 12 of 51 Chin Swee Rd, looking onto Upper Cross Street Block 34. Once at block 51 Chin Swee Rd, look for lift C or D and take the elevator up to level 12. Once you're near the lift and staircase on level 12, position yourself along the railing so that Upper Cross Street Block 34 is straight ahead (south). By public transportation: - Chinatown MRT Station (via Downtown or North East Line) - Head northwest on Upper Cross St toward Park Cres - Turn left on Pearl's Hill

Morning, midday or late afternoon will provide similar lighting conditions. Just make sure you visit on a slightly overcast day, so the sun isn't too harsh.

This area has a lot of bugs. To keep from being bitten, I suggest having bug repellent with you.

I used an iPhone to get this shot. If you're using a newer model, make sure you are shooting with the widest lens and if you're shooting with a camera, use a wide-angle lens as well.

Try to stand at a slight angle so you can adequately capture the slight curvature of the building.

I also recommend having a slight look-down view, which will make the entire scene seem a bit wider.

You're in the center of Singapore's Chinatown. Explore the Chinatown Heritage Centre or walk around and visit some of the authentic restaurants that are in the area.

If you're up for some shopping, OG People's Park, Hong Lim Complex and People's Park Complex are all within walking distance.
