When to go
Best time
Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon
Every month of the year is great to photograph the wooden bridge at Marina One Residence.
The featured photograph was taken at midday, although you can easily visit at any time throughout the day. Because of the surrounding building that can block some light, direct sunlight will occur mostly at mid-day on some parts of the Garden Plaza. Regardless, there's a lot of open space, so the entire area is generally bright in the morning, midday and late afternoon.
Field tips
Although photographing is allowed, make sure to respect any guests or workers and tell security that you're there to take some great pictures. In my experience, security is almost always willing to let you be creative if you're friendly to them.
Play with the curved aspect of the bridge by hiding some parts of your model. For my image, I wanted only the model's legs to be sticking out. This will create some additional depth to your image.
Alternatively, change your camera angle upwards to get more of the architectural background to your image. The wavy structure of the residents is quite impressive!

Do nearby
Walk along the Marina Bay Promontory for seemingly infinite shopping and dining experiences. At night, you can watch the iconic Marina Bay Sands light display. Pro tip: Don't catch the show from the upper level in front of the mall and instead, go to the lower level by taking the stairs on either side of the plaza. You'll be closer to the action and you might even catch some refreshing water sprays.
