I stood on the sidewalk of South Bridge Road and shot toward the pillar for this perspective. The easiest way to get there is to take public transportation and then walk. By MRT: - Closest station: Chinatown (via Downtown Line or North East Line) - Head southeast on Upper Cross St toward South Bridge Rd - Turn right onto South Bridge Rd

The yellow pillar outside of Tin Sing Goldsmiths Pte Ltd can be photographed during any month of the year without any seasonal changes.

Morning, midday and late afternoon will provide enough sunlight to illuminate the scene.

A wide-angle lens allowed me to capture more of the background, as well as the other yellow pillar, which created depth.

I played into the yellow architecture by having my model wear a yellow shirt. The monochrome look makes everything a bit more cohesive.
