When to go
All months of the year are suitable to photograph from this temple area.
The featured image was taken during blue hour when the temples were illuminated. Visiting in the afternoon is also nice as the varying light and shadows brings focus to different areas of the temples' architecture.
Throughout the year there are special festivals at both the Hindu and Buddhist temples — these would also be great times to visit.
Field tips
Photographing in the premise of the temple is allowed, but it is of utmost importance to respect the temple goers and the temple deities. You're also required to observe the temple dress code.
By using a wide-angle lens (24mm-35mm) you’ll be able to incorporate more of the surrounding temples.
I captured tiny water droplets (in the foreground) on a table directly in front of the walkway and waited for a mother-daughter duo to walk pass. Be patient to capture your perfect moment.
I like how the Buddhist tower is flanked between the sides of the Hindu temple. Move around and find your creative perspective!
