If you want to relax on a black sand beach with palm trees around you, this is the place to be! The Big Island of Hawaii is famous for its black sand beaches due to the continuous volcanic activity around the area. Pack your beach bag and spend the day with a friend as you experiment with drone photography on the coast.

This drone image was taken above Punalu'u Beach on The Big Island of Hawaii. Punalu'u Beach is located on the south side of the island, equidistant from Kona and Hilo. The best way to get there is by car.
Once you're near the area, I recommend parking next to the Punalu'u Boat Ramp (19.136323, -155.503310) and then walking to the shore. Launch your drone directly above and you'll photograph a similar perspective.
