Footbridge view of Man Yiu Street & Finance Street Intersection

All months of the year are suitable to photograph this intersection from the footbridge.

Visit from morning through late-afternoon to best capture the contrast of the intersection’s geometry. You won’t be able to get a similar effect after dark. You’re most likely to find a pedestrian crossing the street over the weekend or after 17:00.

A wide-angle lens will emphasize the magnitude of the geometric grid pattern.

Hold your camera steady and try to get all the grid lines to line up.

Be patient and wait for a person to walk along into your frame (even though they’re not supposed to be in that area!).

Look to the left of the grid and you’ll see a yellow zebra crosswalk — this lends to a fun composition alongside the grid (although, I cropped it out of the featured image).

Check out the IFC shopping mall. There's also an Apple store nearby!

Take the Star Ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui and enjoy the views!
