Lok Wah South Estate Car Park Roof view of the Lok Wah South Estate Wun Wah House

I took the photo on top of the Lok Wah South Estate Car Park, looking onto the Lok Wah South Estate Man Wah House. Once you’re on the roof, you’ll find a small platform that the model will be able to stand on. Then, you can shoot from the bottom of the platform for a familar perspective. I recommend taking the MTR and a bus to get there. By MTR: - Closest Station: Kwun Tong (Kwun Tong Line) - Take “Exit A” - Head northwest on Hip Wo St toward Tung Yan St - Turn left onto Tung Yan St - Turn right onto Yue Man Square - Board the 22M minibus - Get off at Lok Wah South East (3 stops) - The destination will be a 3 minute walk southwest Address: Lok Wah South Estate Car Park, 70 Chun Wah Rd, Ngau Tau Kok, Hong Kong

All months are suitable to photograph from this car park.

You can capture great images as long as there's daylight, although it’s best during late-afternoon when the light is more soft. It brings a glow to the surrounding façade.

I recommend using a lens that's between 20-40mm. If you have a lens that's too wide, the model won't be in focus, and if the lens is too narrow, you won't be able to capture the buildings.

Have your model wear a bold color! In the photo I took, the model's red pants stood out against the neutral color of the buildings.

This area is surrounded by residential buildings, so change your position on the car park rooftop and see what other perespectives you can find!

Do some shopping and visit the Lok Wah Shopping Center! It's just north of the car park.
