When to go
Best time
Morning, Late afternoon
All months of the year are suitable to photograph an aerial view of Cheung Sha Wan Road and Sham Shui Po.
For soft light I recommend visiting in the morning or late-afternoon. If it’s an overcast day (like when I visited) the time of day is less important as the clouds will take care of the harsh light for you!
Field tips
Pay attention to the wind and weather conditions. If it's windy you may not want to fly a drone.
Upon taking off my drone I was surprised to see how neatly Cheung Sha Wan Road split the surrounding area. I took advantage of its leading line and centered it in my frame.
Fly around, get high and low, and experiment with different perspectives — like a look down view capturing car traffic.
