While Hong Kong is famous for its colorful public housing complexes, it's also known for vibrant, elevated sport courts and this basketball court is no exception. The fuchsia flooring pops against the towering residential complex, creating an eye-catching scene above the streets of Tuen Mun.

This photo of a basketball court was taken near the On Ting Estate Complex, which is a residential area in Tuen Mun.
To get here, take the bus to the On Ting Complex bus station and then walk to the H.A.N.D.S. Market (22.387069, 113.975946).
Once inside the market, make your way up to the top level where the sports courts are. Reference the GPS coordinates and you'll be led to the basketball court featured in my image. Stand directly north on the court and you'll be able to capture the building behind the court, too.

Field tips
When shooting the basketball court, make sure all of your lines are perfectly straight. You can always clean them up in post-production, but it helps to not have any perspective distortion by making your photo as straight as possible from the get-go.
In order to capture the building behind the courts, I recommend using an ultra-wide angle lens. I shot this with a focal length of 18mm.
Experiment by adding a model into your photo so you can create a sense of scale.

Do nearby
Tuen Mun is a satellite town in the New Territory, so it's lacking the densely packed crowds that have been eponymous with Hong Kong.
For shopping, check out the newly built megamall V City, or for some nature, discover Hong Kong's mini Grand Canyon — the scenic mountains of Pineapple Hill.
