Cable House Inner Courtyard

avatar
@sdamiani
This peach-colored mansion was designed in Richardsonian Romanesque-style. Built in 1885-86, it's now one of the few Gilded Age buildings that still stands in modern-day Chicago. It's a landmark worth seeing and it makes for a quaint, yet historical, photo.

This image was taken in front of the Cable House, looking onto the inner courtyard from E Erie Street. I was holding my phone in between the fence railings to get this unobstructed view of the building. By subway: - Nearest subway station is Grand (via Red Line) - Hear north on N State street - Turn right on E Erie street and the Cable House will be on your right Address: Cable House, 25 E Erie St, Chicago, IL 60611
