This location is in the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum and is of the Manjushri Buddha Statue. Enter the temple via the main entrance on South Bridge Rd. Stay left and when you enter the middle of the museum you should see several bigger Buddhas surrounded by littler buddhas (they’re smaller than this macro photo makes it look)!
At the time of this photo the Manjushri Buddha was on the left side of the Temple, but they often move the Buddhas around.
By MRT:
- Closest MRT Station: Chinatown (Downtown Line and North East Line)
- Take exit “A”
- Head southeast on Pagoda St toward Trengganu St

Field tips
This is a very macro, close-up shot of a relatively small Buddha statue (looks huge in the image though, right?). By using a wide-angle lens (16-35mm) you can really create an image of scale.
Since the statue is so small you will likely have to crop away the border frame of the statue.
Don’t touch the statue.
Walk around the museum – there are several similar statues you can capture. Choose the one you like!
