Enjoy this illuminated greenery and retreat from the concrete forest. There’s no better place for nightscape photography in Singapore than here! This specific location within Gardens by the Bay allows you to perfectly expose the skywalk.

This location is within the Supertree Grove area of the Gardens by the Bay in the Marina Bay Sands’ integrated resort. It can be easily access via the overhead bridge (Lions Bridge) located at Marina Bay Sands Hotel or the underground linkway via Bayfront MRT Station.
To get to this specific spot, enter the Gardens by the Bay via the overhead bridge from the Marina Bay Sands, follow signs to the Supertree Grove and take Lift “C” or stairs down to the area. Walk straight and to the right of the first Super Tree grove in front of you, and look up! You should have a great view of the Supertrees and OCBC Skywalk. This is where I took this photograph.
By MRT:
- Closest MRT Station: Bayfront (Downtown Line and Circle Line)
- Take exit “B” underground linkway towards Gardens by the Bay
- Look for Supertree Grove signs

All months of the year you can photograph the Gardens by the Bay.
At night the Gardens by the Bay illuminate and are much more beautiful to photograph than in daytime. Visit during a weekday to avoid the flood of crowds, as it’s one of Singapore’s most popular tourist destinations.
Field tips
Use a wide-angle (14mm) or fish eye lens to capture the magnitude of the Super Trees and OCBC Skywalk.
The Supertrees' lights are constantly changing in brightness, so be patient with your long exposures until you to capture that perfect glow.
To get the composition you like best will require a lot of trial and error! When you point the camera up there’s so many compositions – find the one that suits you best.
I composed the OCBC Skywalk in a way that split the image in half, which I thought added to the photograph’s excitement. The skywalk also nicely leads the viewer’s eyes across the image.
