The Lone Tree at Jurong Lake Gardens

avatar
@mart.lindner
Against the blushing sunset, this lone tree isn't what it appears to be! Upon closer look, you'll see that it's not a real tree and instead, it's a sculpture of a tree made from recycled iron reinforcement bars.

This image of The Lone Tree at Lakeside Garden was taken in Jurong Lake Gardens. The easiest way to get here is by taking the metro. Whichever MRT station you get off, the walk around the lake through the park is relaxing — you won't feel like being in busy modern Singapore here! Head towards Jurong Lake Gardens and follow the path towards the exact GPS coordinates. Since it's the only tree around, you'll spot it right away. For this perspective, I stood facing north. By MRT: - Closest MRT Station: Chinese Garden (East West Line) (Due to renovation work, the two lake islands {the Chinese Garden and the Japanese Garden} are closed until 2021. Therefore, taking the MRT to Lakeside Station {East West Line} is closer).
