Pulau Palawan Look Down

The featured image is a look down shot of Pulau Palawan island and was taken from the beach on Sentosa Island (northwest side). Transit to Harbourfront station and take the bus RWS8 or the Sentosa Monorail Express from VivoCity to “Beach Station.” From there, walk a few minutes to the beach and you’ll see Palau Palawan island. All months of the year are suitable to photograph Pulau Palawan — Singapore's weather is typically hot and sunny.

I recommend visiting at sunrise or in the morning when the weather's not too hot and the sunlight is not too harsh for your photograph.

A permit is required if flying a drone weighing more than 7kg, within 5km of an airport/military base, or higher than 200 feet.

Get creative with your angles! There’s a lot of exciting perspectives to capture other than top-down. You'll be surprised what you can find around the vicinity, too!

Try using an Neutral Density filter to capture smoother images and video.

Be mindful of birds and aircrafts while flying a drone, it’s not necessary to always fly high to get an epic shot.

Sentosa's an amazing place to just chill for the whole morning. Relax by the beac, ride the Skyline luge or check out the Wave House!

If you're adventurous, you can take a tram ride and explore Tanjong Rimau (a historical landmark just off the coast).
