When to go
Best season
March, April, May
The Flower Fields are only open during the spring time, so check to confirm they’re open before you visit.
Try to come in the morning before 10:00am when it’s less busy and easier to find parking. The sunlight is also less harsh.
If you go between 11-4pm you should be prepared to photograph in harsh light. Late-afternoon light is great for photography.
Field tips
DO NOT go off trail or damage the flowers.
The further you walk down the fewer people there will be, so put on comfortable shoes and go towards the end of the fields for an empty background!
Surrounding buildings or people traffic could distract your background, so take your time to find a space where you’re surrounded by only flowers.
By using a wide-angle lens (18mm) you’ll be able to incorporate more of the flower fields.
Once inside you can navigate to various areas of flowers, rose gardens, poinsettias, and more.
