Oceanside Pier

avatar
@erubes1
At 1,942 feet, this is one of the longest wooden piers on the West Coast. That said, the pier is not the only photo-worthy thing in the area—look out for the pastel sunrise colors in the sky, crashing waves, and surfers enjoying the sea during the first hours of the day.

I took this photograph from the northside of Oceanside Pier. There's a convenient parking lot just off N Pacific St. at 350 North The Strand. You'll see the pier directly south of you. From there you're free to walk under the pier, or on top of it if you prefer to photograph surfers from above.
