When to go
Any time of the year works, as long as you go at night and it's not raining too hard. But even if it does rain, this vantage offers you a whole different experience to capture.
Definitely go at night so that you can capture what's left of the old HK neons as well as all the parked buses.
Field tips
No matter what time you visit the bridge, there are bound to be crowds of people. Take your time and make sure you set up your tripod as close as possible to the bridge railing so you can get a clear shot.
Make sure to have center of focus off in the distance. For this photo, I used the road marking to align the photo in the center and focus on the furthest sign.
Because of the yellow street lights, check your white balance before shooting. I shot with a cool white balance, to get the pinkish, reddish glow for this photo.
Photograph different moments! The streets below are alive, so take your time and look for interesting moments!
